Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla the company manufacturing one of the most advanced and popular electric cars in the world is no stranger to Indonesia where he visits regularly it appears.
And this time around, Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo or Jokowi says that he wishes Tesla would open up a factory in Indonesia to produce electric vehicles, one of the largest vehicle market in the region to produce EVs.

What will be Elon’s response? Will he tweet that he is willing to invest in such a venture in Indonesia? The automotive industry in Indonesia is critical to the country’s economic growth, accounting for 10.16 percent of GDP. Indonesia’s automotive exports are currently worth more than their imports. That could be an incentive for Elon Musk. Don’t you think so?
