The JPJ app has faced heavy criticism from social media users since its launch. At one point, drivers were unable to even obtain a physical driving license, compounding frustrations. 

Users highlight that when stopped by police or JPJ officials, the app may fail to function properly, or require a lengthy login process — leaving motorists vulnerable and inconvenienced.

An X user is calling the app the most useless app that has ever been made by the government. There are claims that the servers aren’t up to capacity, but this is a mere allegation. 

Another user suggested that the JPJ app should function offline, given that certain areas have limited coverage. 

During roadblocks — which are common at specific times — unstable internet connections or app glitches often leave police officers, JPJ officials, and drivers struggling to verify licenses, creating unnecessary delays and frustration.
