According to Muhammad Kifli, some incidents occurred when officers pursued drivers and attempted to take enforcement action against those suspected of violating traffic laws.
He said there were cases where officers followed drivers to certain locations before allegedly being locked inside by people at the premises. Other officers were reportedly bitten by dogs kept at the locations.
Muhammad Kifli also said some officers had claimed to have been affected by black magic while carrying out their duties.
Despite the incidents, he said JPJ personnel remained committed to enforcing the law and were trained to deal with various situations encountered during operations.
He stressed that the department would continue taking action against those who breached the law while prioritising the safety of its officers.
“We will continue enforcing the law. Our officers are trained to handle various situations, but their safety remains a priority,” he said.
