Kim Pan-Gon Impressed with Harimau Malaya Now

Harimau Malaya’s head coach, Kim Pan-Gon, was impressed by the determination and strong spirit of his men after Malaysia almost surprised the 80th-ranked team in the world, China when they drew 1-1 in the Tier 1 international friendly match in Chengdu. The 54-year-old South Korean coach was also satisfied with the performance of his players and thought the draw was good enough for the team.

“It was a very good match against a stronger and higher level Chinese team, we also learned a lot from this match. I am very proud of all the players, what they did tonight (last night) really made Malaysians proud (and ) it should be respected. As a coach, I have no complaints, what they did was great. For our team, it was a very good result,” he said at a press conference after the match at the Phoenix Hill Stadium in Chengdu.
