KUAH BANJIR is the Cause of OBESITY

Did you know that Malaysia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia that has the highest percentage of obesity? Based on the 2019 National Health and Morbidity Survey report, a total of 33.7% of Malaysians are 18 years old and and above have obesity problems or a body mass index (BMI) of 27.5kg/m2 and above.

“You need to know that meals taken with ‘flood’ gravy is one of the factors that contribute to fatness or obesity. This is because the sauce is especially coconut milk and greasy is not only high in fat, but also high in salt and calories. 1 tablespoon of coconut milk sauce contains 50 calories,” says this Twitter account, NutritionistKKM.

Kuah Banjir

It advises locals to try to imagine how many calories are in one dish with a kuah banjir. There is nothing wrong with eating food with the gravy, but make sure you take the gravy in moderate quantities and not ‘flood’. The less gravy is taken, the better it is.
