Lazio moved to the top of Serie A on their own on Sunday (Nov 1) after they came from a goal down to beat Cagliari 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico, the standout of the day’s early Serie A results.
Andrea Pinamonti headed the winner in the 83rd minute, after Gustav Isaksen had cancelled out M’Bala Nzola’s opener for the visitors.

Cagliari struck first through Nzola in the 21st minute of the 10th-round match. Isaksen pulled Lazio level in the 36th minute.
The decisive goal came seven minutes from time, when Pinamonti met a cross from Pedraza with his head. The move began with a shot from Dele-Bashiru that struck Cagliari’s Deiola, according to the match report.
The result took Lazio past Inter Milan, who lost the Milan derby 3-1 to AC Milan on Saturday (Oct 31). Lazio fan site Lazialita reported that it is the first time this season the Rome club have led the table, and described the win as a sixth in a row for coach Gattuso.
Como Edge Venezia in Other Serie A Results
Earlier on Sunday, Como beat Venezia 1-0 in the lunchtime game at the Sinigaglia. Captain Da Cunha scored the only goal from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute.
Corriere dello Sport reported that the win put Fabregas’s side alone in fourth place on 23 points, one behind Roma and two behind Inter, whom Como face next.
The paper added that Venezia remain bottom of the table with three points after a third straight defeat. It also reported that an earlier penalty, given for a handball by Milla in the 28th minute, was cancelled after the referee reviewed the incident on the pitchside monitor.
Juventus were due to host Napoli at the Allianz Stadium in Turin in the round’s Sunday late kick-off.
