When patrol officers arrived at the scene, there was no fight in progress, Khairul said. Instead, a group of members of the public had gathered and detained 17 individuals.
“All those detained have been remanded for between two and three days,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama.
Police did not release the names or ages of those held.

The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting, according to Khairul.
Bernama said two videos showing a group gathered in the car park of the flats had earlier gone viral on social media.
