The corruption trial of former Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has been postponed to August 27 and 28 after key prosecution witness G. Gnanaraja told the court he was traumatised and required protection before continuing his testimony.

Gnanaraja, the 37th witness, was attacked at his home on August 6, suffering wrist injuries that required stitches after being slashed.
He told the court he feared for his safety and could not testify under current conditions. Lim faces four corruption charges linked to the RM6.34 billion Penang undersea tunnel and paired roads project, including soliciting bribes and misusing his position in land deals.
