According to Sumud Nusantara Command Centre director-general Datuk Dr Sani Araby Abdul Alim, detainees were also denied access to water, toilets, medicine, and legal counsel.
He said 20 of the 23 detained Malaysians have been contacted through the GSF legal team and human rights group ADALAH. Humanitarian aid items remain onboard the seized vessels.
