Now Malaysian Artists to Sue 1975 Band for Revenue Loss After Kiss on Stage

1 min read

Lawyer Mathew Thomas Philip and a group of lawyers are representing local artists pro bono in a class action suit against 1975 for lost income due to the cancellation of the Good Vibes Festival. The festival was cancelled immediately after the band’s lead member, Matt Healy, made bold statements against the country’s LGBTQ rights and engaged in a public display of affection with another man on stage.

Malaysian Artists Unforgiving

The Communications and Digital Minister has instructed the festival organizers to devise a compensation scheme for ticket holders. Malaysians are expressing strong disapproval towards the band for their actions. The locals seem unforgiving against the 1975 group.
