NARATHIWAT – The Islamic Religious Council of Narathiwat revealed that nearly 30 couples from Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan, and Terengganu travel to southern Thailand monthly to marry and practice polygamy. Abdul Aziz Che Mamat, Deputy President of the Council, stated that many seek polygamous marriages here to legalize their unions, often traveling long distances.
