KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6, 2026 – Malaysia’s men’s doubles pairs face contrasting challenges at the World Championships in New Delhi (Aug 17–23) following the tournament draw. World No. 6 Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani were handed a tough path, drawn in the same half as top seeds Kim Won Ho–Seo Seung Jae. They are projected to meet the Koreans in the quarter-finals, a repeat of their Indonesia Open triumph in June.

Former world champions Aaron Chia–Soh Wooi Yik have a more favourable route but could face compatriots Man Wei Chong–Tee Kai Wun in the last 16. Victory would set up a quarter-final against China’s Chen Bo Yang–Liu Yi, guaranteeing a medal. Meanwhile, Wan Arif Junaidi–Yap Roy King face rising Indonesians Raymond Indra–Nikolaus Joachim early.
