Malaysian Influencer Turns Grab Driver After RM1 Million Gambling Debt

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28, 2026 – Malaysian influencer Aaron Lim, once known online as “Genting’s little queen” for flaunting his gambling lifestyle, has revealed he is now working as a Grab driver after falling into debt of about RM1 million (S$314,000).

In an Instagram video on Sept 21, Lim said he has been driving for the past eight months using a car loaned by a friend. His daily routine runs from 1pm to 11pm, earning around RM200 (S$63) at most. After deducting food, petrol, and medical costs, he admitted his income is “only enough to survive.”

The 48‑year‑old also shared that long hours behind the wheel have affected his health, leaving him with back pain and insomnia. He has relied on sleeping pills for over a year, though he said the medication has worsened his condition.

Lim reflected on his past, when gambling winnings funded private jet trips and fine dining meals costing RM100–200 each. “When I won, I continued gambling. When I lost, I kept trying to win back my losses,” he said.

Now, he expressed gratitude for simple meals and vowed to rebuild his life: “My wild days are in the past. I’m starting over again at 48 years old.”
