According to a report made by Astro Awani, it states that the amount of children being enrolled in SJKCs are increasing steadily. Bumiputera students have increased steadily in the last 10 years. The report adds now that these schools have over 18% of Bumiputera students.

Others are alleging that the national schools in our country are of a lesser “quality” than these vernacular schools. However, there are some national schools that outpace other schools. The report also states that there is an increase of students enrolling in private schools.
Some add that the mixing among communities is getting better in the last few decades as people of different ethnicities are buying in different neighbourhoods in order to integrate better as Malaysians.
