Malaysians’ Love Affair with STARBUCKS Now ENDING After BOYCOTTS?

1 min read

Prior to the conflict in the Middle East, Malaysians would typically spend their days at Starbucks enjoying their RM20 drink. However, it seems that a number of these branches are empty with no customers sipping their expensive drinks. The boycotts are working.

Starbucks boycotted by Malaysians?

Despite this, several prominent X users claim that boycotts never work in Malaysia. However, others state that they have seen three empty Starbucks this last weekend. Typically, the place will be filled to the brim with people patronizing the cafes.

A sad observation is that a significant number of part-timers are dropped from their positions due to the lack of staff needed. This is concerning as the economy is going through a downturn, speculations are next year we may see a recession worldwide.
