A Malaysian man visited his father in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, after four years of no contact, only to find his skeletal remains on a mattress. The remains were discovered on September 5, and the image went viral on social media.

Sentul district’s Chief Police Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari confirmed the son last spoke to his father in 2020. The 72-year-old deceased lived alone after divorcing his wife. The son had to break open the door with help from the apartment’s Security Exco. The deceased had a history of high blood pressure and stroke.
