Palm Beach: On February 22, 2026, a man in his early 20s was shot dead after attempting to break into Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. According to the U.S. Secret Service, the suspect was armed with a shotgun and carrying a fuel can when he breached the secure perimeter around 1:30 a.m. He was confronted and killed by Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach Sheriff’s deputy. Austin Tucker Martin, the man shot dead US Secret Service agents is described as a supporter of Trump.

Authorities later identified him as Austin Tucker Martin, 21, from North Carolina, who had recently been reported missing. Trump was not at Mar-a-Lago at the time, as he was in Washington hosting the National Governors Association dinner.
