The other day, a Twitter user posted a sarcasm tweet on Malaysia Airlines’ aircraft interior. They claimed that the aircraft interior is seen as an aesthetic retro vibe from the year 1995, complete with yellow and grayish fixtures. Usually for older buildings being called retro is a complement, but that does not translate well if it’s directed towards an aircraft.
Other netizens commented that it’s not fair for MAS to charge a lot more when compared to their competitors for a more inferior product. One netizen mentioned that we have spent a lot of taxpayer money on the airline and even when MAS had a european CEO, he also couldn’t take the ‘rot’ that is allegedly in the airline.
However, this is just on the basis of one’s opinions. The real job of an airline is to safely carry passengers from point A to point B, and MAS has done a great job doing that regardless of their dated interiors and inflight entertainment system. Whether you choose to fly on a certain airline, it’s completely up to your choice and free will.
