Around 1,000 customers are believed to have been cheated out of RM500,000 after a health and beauty centre with 28 branches across five states abruptly shut down. The centres, located in Johor, Selangor, Melaka, Penang and Kuala Lumpur, quietly ceased operations on May 1 without informing customers.

Many had purchased massage packages ranging from RM2,400 to RM10,000. MCA Youth Complaints Bureau Chief Heng Zhi Li said customers were initially told there were no slots available before learning of the closures. So far, 54 police reports have been lodged, and victims are urged to come forward with more information.
