MCA President Wee Ka Siong has apologized for an offensive Facebook post that insulted Islam, shared unintentionally by a former party administrator on January 26. Wee clarified that the individual had long retired from MCA and shared the post without the party’s knowledge. The post was promptly deleted, and the person admitted the mistake. MCA Johor also issued an apology. “I sincerely apologize for this oversight, and we will ensure such incidents do not happen again,” Wee said during MCA’s Chinese New Year open house. The party aims to prevent actions that could harm religious harmony.
