The calls for boycotting McDonalds have been around since October 2023. However, several conservative Malaysians have called to boycott the company despite the Malaysian branches being under a different ownership from the global company. Netizens are calling out an “ustazah” for having her shop closed.
McDonalds still thriving but “ustazah’s” restaurant closed
It appears that netizens are angrier at the “ustazah” than the western fast food company. Furthermore, some are asking who is the real clown here? This is in lieu of Ronald, the clown that is representing the fast food chain.
Others are defending the “ustazah” citing that users should feel bad because she is a preacher. However, netizens state that she is not offering free religious lessons in her restaurant, it is just a business after all.
