Malaysian actress Juin Teh, a full-time Mediacorp artiste, moved from Singapore to Johor Baru to save on rising rental costs and spend time with her ageing mother. Commuting two to three hours daily for work, including her role in Emerald Hill – The Little Nyonya Story, she saves S$1,000 monthly. Despite the travel, Teh, a Singapore permanent resident, uses public transport and occasionally stays with friends for early schedules. Known from Star Search 2019, she renovated her family home for her parents’ comfort, as shown on #JustSwipeLah.
