Saravanan clarified that while the political party had initially requested the Sentosa DUN seat, which had a favorable chance of winning, it was ultimately retained by PKR after negotiations between PH and BN. As of now, no seat has been promised to MIC for the Selangor elections.

MIC Selangor had previously asserted their allocation of DUN seats, but their chairman, MB Raja, noted the uncertainty regarding the exact number of seats to be allocated. Following discussions with PH Selangor, BN has now been granted 11 DUN seats to contest.
