Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has urged retired ministry staff, government retirees, and the elderly to stay vigilant against scams, particularly online fraud. Highlighting a rise in scams targeting retirees, Fahmi emphasized the importance of awareness and caution.

He encouraged the use of the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) for cybersecurity support. Fahmi also stressed the need for partnerships with veteran associations to create meaningful programs for retirees.

Additionally, he proposed that the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR) offer courses for retirees to gain new skills or serve as instructors.
