Flash floods and a landslide in an Indonesian village last week claimed two lives, with at least 10 missing, destroying houses and a hotel near Lake Toba in Sumatra. Torrential rain triggered the disaster on Dec 1, leading to the evacuation of residents and causing the death of a 78-year-old woman. Despite initial reports of 11 missing individuals, another body was discovered on Dec 4.
