Dzeko netted twice around half-time, but Lugano’s Uran Bislimi equalized. Ferdi Kadioglu restored Fenerbahce’s lead before Dzeko’s third made it 4-2. However, Milton Valenzuela’s stoppage-time goal keeps Lugano’s hopes alive for the second leg in Istanbul next Tuesday.
