Malaysian influencer and activist Muhammad Hareez Adzrami, better known as Haroqs, has apologised after a viral video showed him throwing chocolates into the sea during the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 humanitarian mission to Gaza.
Haroqs Explains Gaza Aid Act After Criticism
Facing heavy criticism, Haroqs explained on Threads that his intention was not to pollute but to ensure aid reached Palestinian children “by whatever means possible.” He admitted the act was misguided and asked forgiveness, hoping Allah would deliver the chocolates.
While some defended his solidarity, others condemned the move as harmful to marine life. Haroqs remains aboard the flotilla alongside fellow Malaysian activists.
