Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli today says the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) has approved the Progressive Wage Policy paper he presented today. “The Progressive Wage Policy will be a labor market policy that is able to systematically raise workers’ wages,” he says.

“As promised, I have presented the Progressive Wage Policy paper to the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) for approval this morning. Alhamdulillah, MTEN has approved this proposal and will follow up with a white paper that will be presented in a special session in Parliament in September 2023. He also says it is a voluntary, incentive-based, and productivity-linked policy.
