With 90 per cent of the adult population inoculated as soon as early October, Malaysia will then consider reopening the country’s borders after it lifts the interstate ban, says National Recovery Council chairman TS Muhyiddin Yassin.

Vaccinated Malaysians will then be able to travel abroad and tourists and business travellers will be able to enter the country.

The council was informed by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin that 90 per cent of the adult population would be inoculated as soon as early October, said Mr Muhyiddin at the press conference. This would pave the way for interstate travel to resume by mid-October.
