New: Masks NO LONGER REQUIRED When Riding Public Transportation

1 min read

The pandemic is finally over for Malaysia, as the rule of wearing masks on public transportation is repelled. Previously, Malaysians were required to wear them for health and safety precautions. However, the government extended this rule up to 2023, which angered a lot of Twitter users.

Masks on public transportation no longer required

Regardless of the new rule, some are stating that they will wear their masks during rush hour. This is due to the fact that LRTs and MRTs are packed like “sardines” during that period. Despite this, others are glad that wearing a mask is merely a choice now, rather than a must.

Others are stating that the removal of this mandate is long overdue. A netizen states that he did not wear a mask in the hospital and claims that he did not fall sick. Furthermore, Twitter users are seemingly agreeing with him.
