It has been announced that the passport prices for Malaysians are lower than the previous years now. It is RM200 for people of the age between 13 and 59, RM100 for senior citizens and RM100 for children below 12.
However, the fact still remains that we can no longer walk into an administrative office to renew our passports, as it has to be done online now. The passport will be valid for only 5 years once renewed, a stark comparison to most other countries which is more or less 10 years.
However, netizens were complaining that it is still pricey to renew our passports, and some mentioned that for children it used to be cheaper. Some were glad that they had already renewed their passports, yet some were excited to renew theirs now.
