Google classroom, which is a free service – (see photo below) – is the reason why then Higher Education Minister Maszlee Malick was fired by Tun Mahathir Mohamad in 2019.
In an interview, Maszlee explained that he told Mahathir the implementation and use of Google Classroom is free. No need to pay billions for that. At most, the implementation may cost a few 100 millions due to other costs etc. but not RM3 billion.
