Power outage at Razak City Residences in Sungai Besi affected 5,000 residents just before midnight on New Year’s Eve. The blackout, lasting until 1:30 am, stranded occupants in elevators and upper floors of the 12-tower complex for at least two hours. Although elevators resumed an hour later, their use was restricted pending the identification of the power failure’s cause. Residents criticized the lack of emergency lighting, considering the high property value. Complaints about management’s unresponsiveness surfaced, while both Razak City Management and Tenaga Nasional (TNB) are yet to address the situation.
