Nine years ago, and perhaps many other years before, there were discussions on the issue of halal and not halal in the food and beverages segment. Many supermarkets will put a NOT HALAL sign, painted or printed on cardboard, at the pork section. Some restaurants also will state that they are not serving halal food, pasting a Not Halal sign on their premises.

Not Halal
Today, the issue is back and it is a very hot topic online to the point that some political figures are promising to paste a logo on the forehead of others. Does this imply Muslim-owned restaurants also should have a sign saying they do not have a Halal certificate to display? Hot hot… We are also confused. Right?
