Parking Spot War
In recent years, there have been many incidences of people ‘chopping’ parking spots as if it is legally and morally theirs. There are more stories of fights among drivers in parking lots where someone would stand on the spot to prevent cars from parking. They ‘chop’ the spot as ‘theirs’ because they say they came there first, disregarding the fact that the lot is public and one must be driving a vehicle to claim the spot. Regardless, we have also seen videos where car owners get angry with others who are parked in a spot that some believe is theirs.
