The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) extends Christmas greetings to Christians in the country. In a statement on December 24, the party’s secretary-general, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, expressed hopes for a joyful, peaceful, and safe celebration.

He highlighted the importance of Christmas in Malaysia, emphasizing its role in fostering a mature, respectful, and considerate community. 

Takiyuddin noted the similarities between Islam and Christianity, such as monotheism and charity, which contribute to a better society. He believes these shared moral strengths can create a peaceful world free from moral decay and war.
