PAS’ Hadi Awang Politicising World Cup Too?

1 min read

Our country’s opposition party, PAS has been involved with a number of weird statements in the past. Today, the party leader, Hadi Awang has also brought himself on the FIFA World Cup issues, rather than worrying about the states under his political party.

Hadi Awang’s concern about FIFA World Cup

According to BFM News, he questioned the validity of FIFA being fair to the countries when they are giving the losing teams more leeway. Netizens responded sarcastically to Hadi Awang’s statement saying that no balls were involved during election day.

Others corrected him by stating that there is no injury time, but it is extra time. They then added that Hadi Awang needs to read the referee’s guidelines this year. Is it just weird when the leader of a political party starts to comment on a sporting event?
