PAS Muslimat chief Ustazah Nuridah Mohd Salleh has warned that the unchecked spread of “soft porn” content on social media risks normalising unhealthy culture, eroding sensitivity to dignity, and increasing threats of exploitation and online harassment. She highlighted growing concerns, particularly among young women and students in higher education institutions, which should instead be centres of knowledge and character building.

Nuridah stressed that the issue reflects a broader crisis of values, modesty, and respect for Islamic teachings on dignity and aurat. “Maruah wanita bukan bahan tontonan, bukan alat mendapatkan populariti, dan bukan komoditi untuk dinilai oleh pandangan umum,” she said.
