PAS has criticised national broadcaster RTM after TV2 allegedly aired the animated series Cleopatra in Space, which the party claims contained LGBT elements. PAS ulama chief Ahmad Yahaya said this marks the second such incident, following last year’s controversy over Santiago of the Seas.

He questioned RTM’s vetting process, urging stricter monitoring of imported content to prevent discreet attempts at spreading LGBT themes. RTM previously stated internal reviews of Santiago of the Seas found no evidence of same‑sex behaviour but halted the show for further evaluation. PAS insists authorities must act decisively to safeguard local broadcast standards.
