PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the party sees no need to table a motion naming its candidate for prime minister at its 71st Muktamar, stressing that current priorities should be cost of living issues, the Sabah election, and strengthening Perikatan Nasional (PN). His remarks came after Bersatu endorsed Muhyiddin Yassin as its choice for the 11th prime minister, a move criticised by PAS leaders Sanusi Nor and Annuar Musa, who insisted such decisions require coalition consensus. Bersatu’s Tun Faisal defended the nomination, saying it was made on Bersatu’s platform, not PN’s.
