PAS has rejected UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s accusation that the party carries a “traitor DNA.” Zahid recently said UMNO would not cooperate with PAS unless it abandoned its alleged betrayal. However, PAS Deputy President Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man argued UMNO itself betrayed past alliances, citing episodes in Johor, Melaka, and Perak where UMNO withdrew support from Perikatan Nasional governments.
