Perodua new electric vehicle project update

MITI Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz says Perodua is working with an international automotive company to come up with a prototype electric vehicle (EV). The minister says this was part of the carmaker’s efforts to lead the production of affordable EVs in Malaysia, as outlined under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030.

“In line with the appointment of the company to lead the production of affordable EVs under NIMP2030, Perodua has collaborated with an international automotive company to produce a prototype EV. Mass production by the car maker is scheduled for the end of 2025,” he writes on X. But some users are saying “Axia Rahmah yg YB lancar tahun lalu pun waiting list lebih 6-12bulan sebab qty pengeluaran rendah. Ramai yang kena sidai. Boleh beri sekata dua kat Perodua?”
