KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — Petronas and Microsoft have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance innovation, sustainability, and the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in Malaysia. Announced during Energy Asia 2025, the partnership aims to build a robust AI-enabled economy while promoting energy transition in Asia. Petronas’ Ir Ts Mohd Yusri Mohamed Yusof said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to smarter, cleaner energy. Microsoft Malaysia’s Laurence Si highlighted the role of its new cloud region in supporting secure and scalable solutions. Initiatives will focus on AI, cloud, data analytics, and cybersecurity to boost efficiency and sustainability across industries.
