Tuaran PKR chief Razeef Rakimin has criticised party leaders who reprimand colleagues for voicing concerns about the government, labelling them “bootlickers”. He defended nine PKR MPs who recently raised judiciary-related issues, saying their criticisms were essential as the opposition is currently “non-functional”. Razeef urged leaders to welcome internal checks and balances instead of silencing them, warning that dismissing criticism makes the government appear arrogant and disconnected. His comments followed PKR vice-president R Ramanan’s call for party members to avoid abusing free speech with slander or accusations. Razeef insisted constructive criticism strengthens the government by reflecting public concerns.
