KUALA LUMPUR, June 10, 2025 – PAS vice-president Amar Abdullah, also the Kelantan state assembly speaker, has acknowledged some truth in claims that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s government appears strong due to a perceived weak opposition. In a recent Malaysiakini interview, he urged Perikatan Nasional (PN) elected representatives to be more vocal and aggressive in addressing current issues. While praising their efforts in Parliament and state assemblies, Amar noted public complaints about their visibility, as many remain unaware of their work due to limited media coverage. He encouraged PN leaders to leverage social media, emulating Pakatan Harapan’s past strategies.
