KUALA LUMPUR – Wangsa Maju MP Wong Chen has renewed calls for the Selangor State Government to respond to concerns over a proposed development near the Ayer Hitam forest reserve. In a statement dated March 16, Wong said his office had sent a third follow-up letter, exactly three months after the initial enquiry on December 16, 2025.

He revealed that resident objections have grown from 3,752 to 6,270 signatures — a 67% increase — underscoring public unease. Wong stressed that the silence from state authorities is unacceptable and urged them to address the matter transparently.
He also referenced a previous case where a young couple was caught for khalwat before marriage, noting that public morality and environmental integrity both deserve serious attention from policymakers.
