SHAH ALAM, Oct 19: A bomb threat targeting a supermarket on Jalan Kapar, Klang, was confirmed to be a hoax after police and security agencies found no explosives or suspicious devices during an extensive inspection on Sunday.
North Klang police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said authorities received a report at 4.04pm from the supermarket’s manager, who had received an email claiming explosive materials had been placed on the premises.

The inspection, which lasted nearly three hours, covered the supermarket and surrounding areas. However, officers found no evidence of explosives or any suspicious objects linked to the threat.
Ramsay said investigations are being conducted under Section 507 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation through anonymous communication. The offence carries a jail term of up to two years upon conviction.
