PETALING JAYA: Police have launched an investigation into alleged immoral and idolatrous activities during a motivation programme in Shah Alam last September. The probe began after a participant’s husband lodged a report in February. Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed statements were taken from witnesses, with JAIS and JAKIM also involved. The event, attended by around 50 women, allegedly included a female speaker stripping naked, encouraging others to undress after consuming a mysterious drink, and participating in rituals described as a “sacred bath” and “rebirth.” Selangor MB Amirudin Shari called for strict action against those responsible.
