PUTRAJAYA: Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming reminded the opposition not to politicize the Urban Renewal Bill (PSB), whose second reading was postponed. He noted Opposition Leader Hamzah Zainuddin had assured Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim that the bill would not be opposed, only delayed. Nga said the bill is crucial to protect residents’ rights and prevent issues like the Razak Mansion case, where homes were seized under the Land Acquisition Act. He stressed the Madani government prioritizes compassion and fairness, urging the opposition to stay true to its earlier commitment when the bill returns.
