TAIPING – The mystery surrounding the death of an eight-year-old girl at Taiping Hospital has been resolved after a post-mortem revealed she died from severe head and neck injuries caused by a blunt object. The incident occurred on March 26 when the child was brought to the hospital unconscious at 12.43pm and later pronounced dead at 1.12pm.
Relatives Arrested
Police found suspicious injuries on her body before conducting the autopsy. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Malek Ismail confirmed that four family members, two men and two women aged 27 to 53, were arrested. They are remanded for seven days under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
